My uncle had a 1930 case tractor that started on gas and switched to stove oil, but it could be he used stove oil because it was used on the ranch for heating. I am trying to identify just what model it was. This tractor was large for its time and he worked a 800 acre grain operation woth this machine. Regards Paul

This looks like it,in my memory it seemed a bit longer in the wheel base, is there a model "S"? I saw a really bad picture of what the owner thought was an S model.

Perhaps the tractor you are thinking about is an LA. It wasn't produced until the 40s, but is as large as the L in the picture I posted, and would have been similar looking to an S-Series. (Same styling and Flambeau Red paint.)

In 1930 there were only the L and the C series; the C series included the C, CO and CC. Tje S series wasn't introduced unntil 1940.

It was probably a Model L Case.
