I think this is going to work this time Jeff.

All, forgive my stupidity and all the posts to get this show and tell up.

This is the eagle hitch on my 630. VAC series tractors look slightly different and were stared in 1949 I think. Appeared on SC and DC in 1952. Eagle hitch looked similar on all tractors until it was dropped on 1964/1965 models. The top link shown is for a class 2 hitch (730/830) I have replaced the bent and shabily reinforced lift links and welded up draft arms as well as fabricated a 630 look alike top link from a VAC version. Anyone need a class 2 top link??

Yours is a "mechanical lift", not hydraulic. The "Eagle Hitch" was a take off of Cases "Eagle" emblem. The ends of the lift arms had inverted "eagle claws" instead of swivel balls. What I could never grasp was why the lift arms were rigid up and down only, no side to side motion. Must have been fun plowing a curve. Never used one in the field, only for lift boom work.

NO PROBLEM, THE SWING WAS BUILT IN TO THE IMPLEMENT BEST 3 POINT EVER BUT LIKE MOST OF CASE THINGS YOU HAD TO BE A LITTLE SMARTER THAN TWO POPPERS TO RUN THEM

The lift arms do not swing because during the time frame of the Case "Eagle Hitch", as well as the AC, JD & IH versions of a 3-point system, Ol' Henry Ford & Harry Ferguson owned the patent rights to the design which has now evolved to the system as we know it yet today. Check it out on this site at:>Link

As>Link to how a plow (or any 3-point implement) could be pulled in a curve without the swinging draft arms... Case plows have a pivot pin built into the hitch to permit turning, to a limited degree.

Your picture shows the mechanical lift that was used on the early SC & DC models to lift the cultivator attachment...it is not eagle hitch. It was used until Case introduced hydraulics to these models(about l950-51). After that, these models(and subsequent models) were equipped w/ Eagle Hitch, similar to 3pt hitch but the lower arms had no lateral movement and attached to the implement w/ hooks similar to a quick hitch attachment. In the early '60s, Case began makeing a regular 3 pt available and Eagle Hitch was eventually discontinued .

It was Case's version of a two point hook-up similar to IH and Allis Chalmers in the 1950's and 60's.

The Eagle Hitch was 3 pt., not 2 pt. The upper, or 3rd, arm would be attached after the lower 2 had been hooked up to the implement.

No. sister VA? something has sort of Ford looking type 3 arm unit with lower 2 long arms having a lobster claw coupler- back up to plow or cultivator and get it- the claw- under implement mount pin, then lift to engage. Top link can then be connected. 1 person can connect implement easily instead of 2 people on early Ford 3pt. What is shown in picture looks like some kind of earlier mount useing bolts to attach something like a mower or chopper that would lift. Draw bar hitch maybe for wagon tongues seperate from semi- mounted implement? RN
