I drained the transmission-rear end fluid and replaced it with new. Hydraulics worked fine before the change. Hydraulics will not work after the change. Any thoughts as to what the problem might be? Thanks Bob Wilson

There are two seperate resivors. One for hydraulic fluid and one for the rear end and transmission oil. Did you put the right fluid in the right place? The transmission should use 90 weight gear oil. Both fill plugs are side by side on the upper left side of the hydraulic housing.

I agree with Scott if you accidently put 90w in the hydraulic reservoir it is going to wok poorly if at all...

This is from someone who put 2 and 1/2 gals of ATF into the rear end of my DC instead of the hydraulic reservoir...OOOPS!!!

Thanks to Paul and Scott for the reply. This tractor has dual valve hydraulics. The return from one valve was plumed to return into the fill hole of the hydraulic reservoir. The system was just low on hydraulic fluid. A coincidence that happened to occur when I changed the transmission fluid. Thanks again for the response. Things are good!! Bob W.
