I have just rebuilt the powershift, C1 had piled up. New seal kit was installed. Now there is no clutch, the engine still surges when clutch is pushed but gears grind. Tested all powershift ports,200 psi. Tried different control valve.Split tractor again, thought 1 of the C2 plates were warped, Replaced. Still exact same. have you got the 1270 fixed yet. I am thinking that you are not getting all of your c2 sintered disc engaged whrn you slide the planetary assembly over them. Just keep wiggling the planetary and rotate the drum and planetary carrier opposite ways. When you think that you have all of them engaged, keep going. When you are tighning the three allen socket screws they should tighted up solid. Sometimes when you dont have all the plates engaged when you tighten the screws they wont tighten up solid right away feels like you are stretching the bolt( warping the plate).

When I shift the powershift, it is normal.
The engine drops aprox 150 rpm.

You could have a piece of grind or something stuck in the control valve.
I had a similair experiance on a 1070 powershift i rebuild, the problem disapeares with the oil at operating temp. it still does it when cold though.so i just let it warm up before using.
maybe try it.

With the 4 speed trans in neutral with tractor running, shift the power shift lever from 1 to 2 to 3 and then back from 3 to 2 to 1. all with the clutch pedal out. What happens?
