I have just found out that a Case 311 is going to be coming to live with me, and I am trying to figure out whether I might be able to use it with my Super A in the bed system for my small vegetable farm.

Does anyone know what the wheel tread widths (front and rear) are? Can they be adjusted at all? If so how much adjustment is possible?

THANKS!

Mark

Thanks for the help! From the information you provided, it looks like I'll be able to use the 311 in the same bed system I have been using with my Farmall SA.

I don't know which WFE it actually has, but it is wide, not narrow.

THANKS again!

Mark

This is from the 311B owner's manual, think the 311 is the same.

Standard rear wheel tread spacing adjustment, 48", 52", 56", 60", 76", 80", 84" & 88". Tread adjustment in between above spacings can be made by sliding the wheels on the axle.

Standard adjustable WFE axle tread spacing, 52", 56", 60", 64", 68", 76" & 80". Turning both wheels from "dish in" to "dish out" will change the any of the above tread widths 5-1/4".

There are 2 optional "special" adjustable WFE axles. One adjusts 48" to 72" and the other from 44" to 64".

You should be able to spin out the rear wheel to straddle two rows. If it is a narrow front it will bo between the rows. If it is a wide front you should be able to adjust it out to straddle as well.
