Went to a auction this weekend and had this 1954 DC-3 with adjustable wide front, eagle hitch, foot clutch, original third link and it purrs like a kitten. Mag was suppose to have been rebuilt, one rear tire on backwards and doesn't hold air long, and it needs some brake work. Guess I can do some work to the old girl. Gave 450.00 for the tractor and 40.00 for the dearborn blade thats on the back. Also got battery cover, pto shield, drawbar, and a rod with a big steel ball on it which I have no idea what that is. Hers some pictures of the tractor.

Caseman, turn you e-mail on and I will send you a photo of a complete Danuser blade. This one is on a Farmall H with add on 3pt, but the blade itself is complete.

Got your emails, Thanks, The rod I have is different. I took some pictures of it tonight and on the other side there is a Tag that sys Dearborn. Danuser must have made them for Dearborn also. Dratts! Anyways it still matches the tractor third party imagethird party image

Will send you a picture or two later. Just got done switching tires and put some better ones on the DC. Last bolt gave me fits, finally got it to swist off.

Later

Caseman, you did really great in my books, also you helped all of here with values, and it is always fun to see someone win and see pictures of what they got.I bought a "DC" last week for $125.00,but with a broken crankshaft, but the sheet metal is perfect really. So I still feel pretty good. But back to you,GREAT JOB!

Caseman, that's not a Dearborn blade. Its a Danuser blade and looks to the the contract blade that they made for Case. Take a look at the serial number plate, its got the Danuser info on it. Tell us what the model number is. That's a great blade and I think you can still get parts for it.

Tha funny rod you mention may be the adjusting handle for this blade. The Danuser blade had a handle that attached to the broken rocker piece on the back of your blade. This is the piece that pulls the adjusting pin up on the back of this blade. With the handle, the blade can be adjusted from the tractor seat without having to get off. My Dad terraced his fields to FDA specifications with his SC and this blade.

I have my e-mail on if you need any more information on the blade. I have the Danuser contacts and parts lists for their old standard blade line, They no longer make the blade assemblies but still make replacment parts.

JGarner,

I looked at the tag again and you are right, it is a Danuser blade. I seen the D and assumed it was a Dearborn. Must be why the paint matches so closley to the tractor. I looked at that rod and I think you are right. I will post a picture of it in a day or so.Makes it a better buy for me as I'm starting to get some Case implements to go with all the tractors. Thanks for the information, it made my evening.

It's good to know that parts for those blades are still available as one of my friends has one I'm trying to buy to use on my Eagle Hitch D. All I have to do is find him some type of replacement blade. I'll probably be contacting you for more information.

Wilson,

I'll have to pass on the DI. Have to many projects now. I just pulled my D propane into the shop and my other DC-3. The propane is getting some new rubber, taking the tires off one DC to put on the one I just bought. Pull Sunday before Labor Day in Newell and I was thinking of pulling the new DC. Want to get the SI in next and see why it has no spark. I need to sell about 20 of mine so I have less to keep running.

Congratulations Caseman D. That is a nice looking machine that you got for a steal. Sometimes you just get lucky. I am now working on a nice VAC that I got for 400.00. Not a single part missing from the tractor, even had the pto shield. The lights would burn. Knowing what I paid for it makes me enjoy restoring it even more. Hope you enjoy it.
