Hi..ALL My club had a plowing day today....over 20 tractors....80 acres...great time.. My Question on my La...it pulled HARD at times an when I got to the end [ over a half mile..one way ] and slow down or check things...I got a PUFF of Blue smoke.. came out from under the hood [ I'm sure it was blow-by ] NOW the Question ?? should I be concern ?? had good oil presure and water temp around 160-180 this is really the only WORK the tractor seen for a long time... WANT to THANK each and all ...I APPRICATE ALL advice... Mark

Obviously I'd, "keep an eye on it". As Klyde stated, it could indeed be the result of an oil leak of some kind. You said you did not think it was blowby. I am inclined to think it is. If the tractor has been sitting a lot lately or has not seen hard work in some time, the hard plowing you just did is EXACTLY what it needed. Piston rings need hard work periodically to remain properly seated. If you have the chance to pull it hard again soon do it. Perhaps you could remove to hood to get a better view of just where teh blue puff is coming from.

Sounds like a drop of oil hit the ex-manifold coming out of the breather.
