I found it!

It is located above injection pump on the left side of the engine. Oil pressure sender is there too.

Now I have another problem. The original spare part number is A187687. Where can I get one?

I replaced the sensor (I get it from the local dealer). I measured the old sensor with the ohmmeter but there where no resistance between the sensor and ground, neither cold or warm engine. So I thought tha the sensor is malfunctioning. But obviously it isn't.

After replacing the sensor the temperature meter is not working - it's still just flashing between minimum and maximum. The wire must be grounding somewhere. Unfortunately I don't have the circuit diagram so it is quite dufficult the make a new wire? And it also difficult to test the digital temperature meter?

in general all the consolidated diesel engines had the temp sender located in the front of the head just behind the top radiator hose and engine lifting bracket pointing straight up. there may be others on here with more info. good luck.
