All,

I'm considering a 3rd tractor that I don't need, a VAC. The wife said "it's cute" which means I'm allowed to bring it home. And no, she doesn't have a twin sister!
The hood and especially the grill are fairly rough. Can you give me any idea of what I'd have to pay for a decent hood and grill?

Thanks, Larry

I'd look at the year. Half way through 51 at serial #557000 they made a sheet metal and steering change and after that sheet metal is hard to find.

I'd think $100 each for a hood and a grill would get you ones in pretty nice shape. Shouldn't be to hard to find what you'd be looking for.

I don't own this tractor yet. I'm just trying to get an idea how much trouble I'll have finding a grill and hood if I do buy it. The grill in particular looks really flimsy.

I've seen them on ebay for 100+ for a hood, and near that for a grill. I'd take that for the pair I have. I may be able to get some pics,if you's like.I have several other pieces for a VAC also.Email is open.

Larry,you close to WV? I have a decent hood,and a not-so-decent grill. Got anything to swap? I'm looking for a carb for a 311b.
