1370 powershift help

We have a 1370 that was my dad's first (big) tractor that he purchased when he started farming. It has well over 12,000 hours on the original 504. The tractor has been used for the past 7 years as a PTO unit on wheels for our manure pump. I am tossing the idea around of restoring it and I thought I would start with the big issues first.

For the last 7 years it has only had 3rd powershift in any range (ie. 1-3,2-3,3-3 and 4-3) and reverse. The powershift selector has to be in either the 3rd position or reverse to have any hydrolic pressure to use the 3 pt and outlets. Also we have found out through experience and alot of $$ in the shop that the PTO can only be used when the powershift selector is in 3rd or it burns out the clutches in the PTO. Even when it is stationery the power shift has to be in 3rd. I can start out in 3-1 or 3-2 for example and the tractor will creep along and then when shifting to 3-3 it will grab and the tractor will take off.

I know my dad adjusted something down under the right side of the cab so that we could use the 3rd power shift range and have a faster road speed, (originally I think only the 2nd range would work) but that was 7 years ago and all I can remember is him having me move the shifter around so he could tell if he needed to adjust it more.

Could it be the bolts sheared holding the C-2 and C-3 clutches together or possibly something else?

This thing is a real workhorse and I have many fond memories of hauling manure and chiseling many hours after school in it. I want to see this thing out in the field again instead of in the bone yard. All help is appreciated.

since C1 is used in 1 and 2 powershift and you have neither it stands to reason that C1 has failed, the resultant clutch leakage means the flo divider is trying to satisfy the power shift which has priority over the tractor hygraulics so the hydraulics are dead in those two ranges. It will require a rear split to access the clutch pacs. it might not be a bad idea to check the feeder tubes before splitting to eliminate them as a problem
