I never heard of a Case 4 cyl. air cooled eng.
though I learn something new everyday. Are you
sure that it isn"t a "Wisconsin Air Cooled" ?
Case being in Racine, and Wisconsin being in
Milwaukee, makes me think that there could be
a connection. The most common auxillary engine
on bailers, of many brands was Wisconsin.
Any other clues, or markings? Does it have cast iron Jugs, in pairs, and aluminum heads ?
Magneto or distributor? What are the numbers
on those? I have a Wisconsin master parts manual
and collect Wisconsin engines. may be able
to help.

Yes Case made an inline air cooled engine used on balers and small pull type combines.
They look a bit like a Duetz air cooled engine. An engine shop once told me that it was basically a VAC engine converted to air cooling.
I once repowered a cockshutt 30 with one of those engines, a little low on power for big jobs, but fun to play with and get a double take from people when they heard the jet engine like whine of the axial cooling fan and saw that the tractor had no radiator. :-)

I have no idea if any gaskets and such are still avalible. This was most definatly a Case engine, not a Wisconsin.
