Last nite I removed the injectors on the 430 . # of them came out with a lot of CoURSEion words and Pt blaster , Last one Which was the one I started on 1st brought the Stainless steel sleeve with it , ,, Injector Guru says that It requires a special sealer to put this back in correctly < but was not willing to suggest a product> , THAT IS MY PROBLEM I NEED HELP WITH,..... ...also I have drained out antifreeze , AFTER THE FACT , Cranked motor over and hopefully got excess antifreeze out of combustion chamber , , Poured Tranny Fluid type F in all the injector port and cylindar and cranked tru to hopefully clean , And will change oil , Its time for that anyway . Thanx for All Suggestions , Jim

Jim, I have had several of these sleeves pull with the injectors. Clean the nose of the sleeve and the seat down inside the head and also the exterior of the sleeve and the upper bore of the head, also of course the interior of the sleeve and the injector itself. Get some loctite cleaner/primer and some 271 loctite. Spray all areas that must seal and allow to dry, apply loctite to the seat and sleeve also to the upper bore area of the head and sleeve and carefully drive the sleeve into place. Install the injector and draw it up to torque and allow the loctite to dry thoroughly, I have never had one leak useing this method

Jim, mEl is suggesting a very good product. We have used Loctite 271 in my companny's oilfield products division for many years. Our general use is for a thread sealing/locking agent when we don't want a plug or joint to back off several thousand feet in the ground. As far as I know in the 35 years I have worked here we have never had a back out/off problem when Loctite was used on the threads.
