I have a question. Both tractors have the same 451 engine, but have different part numbers for the water pumps. Do ant of you guys know why or what the difference on the water pumps are? Even though the part numbers are different, will either one work on the other?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

The impellar size is larger on the turboed engines. The larger one wont fit the 1070. thad

My guess would be because the 1270 has an oil cooler on the right side of the engine that uses engine coolant to do this. A pipe comes out of the water pump and around to this cooler, then another pipe runs to the block. The 451 turbos with this setup use two oil filters instead of one like the 1070.
