I have a later model 1070 with a clutch problem. Once in awhile when the inching pedal is depressed it will kill the engine, but not every time. When it didn"t kill it every thing worked fine, all gears etc. Eventually it would not do anything at all, no remotes, pto, 3pt, or move. Have since tore it down and split it, removed the powershift and can"t find anything wrong, The only thing I have found is the hyd. pump case is broke around the suction tube. Is this my problem for the engine killing?

My 1070 just went back to the shop for this problem. The guys at the shop said the problem was the same as what has been mentioned here. I hope that we can get it solved this time. I've been careful to keep only proper filters and clean fluid in it but it keeps on sticking.

Definately check the pilot spools in the valve body, probably sticking

you have one or more of the spring return valves sticking in your control valve that is what is killing the engine it is like being in two gears at once check the pump screen at the bottom of the pto unit you have metal getting in from some where also make sure the trans filters are the right micron and are installed right
