Production of the 300 round nose ended 30 Sep 57.

Production of 300B started 1 Oct 57 and ended 30 Sep 59. That is model years 1958 & 1959.

Case model year in that era started at the beginning of the 4th quarter and ended at the end of the 3rd quarter. Model year is not the same as calendar year.

If you bought a new 2008 car last Aug, would you say it was a 2007 just because it was built and sold in 2007?

I don't know whether your serial nr is original to that tractor or not but it is for a model year 1958 number series "B" tractor not 1959.

Joe

I did not see a 311-b on the line production. Was wondering how many were made for my own history of information ???

Sorry Larry, I don't have production nrs.

Did you check your engine serial nr & block casting nr? If you're going to buy engine parts for a 148 cid engine online you need the engine serial nr, otherwise you may end up with the 148B engine parts.

Joe

All the Case tractors listed there were built before yours.
