Hydraulic reservoir dipstick & fill plugs. This tractor has optional triple range gear train & hand clutch pack mounted in the hyd reservoir, capacity is ±3 gals.

2nd pix is hyd oil return filter loc. Test fitting is not factory, I am just too lazy to pull the cover to check element. Factory element is cleanable edge wound type. A suitable sub is Wix p/n 51518 disposable paper element. Arrows on the right indicate division between torque tube hyd reservoir and transmission sump (SAE90 gear oil).

Hey Joe; Is that a picture of your tractor you used to show that fellow where the dip stick and fill port is ? you couldn't have had time to fix it up yet, haven't had the weather. Joe you taught me about gauges but I wish I could send pic's and info the way you do. But I sure don't want you to try, I'm to dumb and to busy with gauge clusters and fixing aluminum grill frames. Still have the other stuff though. I would also have to be smart enough to know what to send. Take care, Roger

Hi Roger, yeah that is my '56 310. Just finished installing new pins in the steering lever. Finally got the new throwout bearing and the RIGHT rear main seal, getting ready to split it again.

Didn't see you bid on this grill, though you might pick it up and make the missing hinges and latches for it. Buyer will probably be looking for you.

Gonna ping you later tonight.

Joe

Cover has an o-ring seal nominal 3" I.D. x 1/8" cross section. I splice mine out of o-ring stock. Hydraulic shop will carry or if you want a Case p/n, post back. Cover is spring loaded, back it off even and the o-ring will probably be reuseable.

The cover lower left bolt (hidden by hose in the pix) is sometimes drilled all the way through into the return oil passage, put some sealant on the threads. Other bolt holes are blind.
