Thanks in advance.
I would like to hear from someone who has exprience with a block that is cracked in the bottom. The cracks do not go to the main bearing webbing. I had experince with the 148 being cracked in the top no problems ever came from those cracks.

The cracks are between cylinders in the lower end of the block.

Is it an external crack at the bottom or is it internal between cylinders? Is it seeping coolant? Was the block frozen or is it some sort of stress crack? Case S Series tractor blocks are know to crack near the bottom behind the carburetor. It's not a problem in this instance because the coolant leaks to the outside of the block and is easy to repair.
