Howdy; would it be acceptable to change from a straight weight oil (1950 Case model DI w/Lull front loader) engine oil (i.e Case manual recommends " a good grade SAE 30 " for summer , and "SAE 10" for winter) to a muliti 10W30 engine oil? The tractor would be used partime in both summer (80-90 degree ambient temperatures and winter at 20 plus degrees). Thanks, dave

10-30 year round common for light duty use now. IHC has a 10-30 winter oil that is recommended for year round light use that replaces their '30 weight summer, 10 weight winter ' recommendation for general use. 15-40 for summer plowing/heavy use a current recommendation for spring and fall use also, had that in JD4430,4440 for seed corn picking one fall.
