I put the torch, Kroil and Lumpy the little sledge to it and saw 1/16" movement.... Kept whacking and got it out. The yoke section is bent up toward the front end, pin holes are egg shaped, pin bent. I'm thinking of laying passes of nickel rod down and reboring. Get a new pin. Anyone think I'll find a new/used pedestal out there? Gotta have it running for the Memorial Day Parade... This is the last thing keeping this tractor from going back to work and I have lots of plans.. Thanks, C.

I would take the pin to a machine shop that has a hydraulic press and get it straightened. I would bore out the hole part way and sleeve it. You shouldn't have to put a sleeve sleeve all the way through to take up the slack. Is it possible to put short sleeves in on top and bottom?

Pedestal is good... in reply to C. Amick, 05-06-2008 09:25:22
I took it out to fix the wide axle pin holes. Once I bush the axle beam hole that was really bad and then the two pedestal holes, I'm good to go. Thanks, C.

Mine had a loader on it when I got it. The front casting was all busted up, and not repairable. I took one from a narrow front, cut it off, and bored it out to accept the front yoke. That was 20 years ago, and it is still working. DK
