Bison is right, they must be put together properly, new bolts and washers, timed properly to insure the oil passages are properly aligned and everything cleaned immaculately and primed and loctited and torqued while on a pilot shaft to insure that the shaft can be installed after torqueing. I have not used a air tool for many years, I put them together as if they were the later style, just spin the planetary and the plates engage theselves, When all are engaged the spacer, washer and snap ring will go into place letting you know all the plates are in place. If you are not an experienced mechanic you may want to have someone do this who has experience as if it is not done properly it will not stay together.

get yourself a manual, these powershifts are complicated and without a manual you will be groping in the dark, there is a sequense how to put them together properly, and parts are stupedly expensive
