I accidently left my clutch engaged for a few months this winter and its stuck!!I have had good luck in the past unsticking clutches by hooking a push bar from the front of my 4010 to the back of tractor with stuck clutch then push start the tractor as soon as tractor with stuck clutch starts 4010 operator pushes in clutch and clutch usally breaks right loose. But this time we made about 4 trips around the house and it didnt budge.Any ideas ? Thanks Nick

Two ways:

1) My Dad did this but it will reqire an oil change when you are finished. Drain the oil from the clutch cavity, then fill it abot 1/2 full of kerosene or some solvent, crank the engine over from time to time and let it soak. If not loose in a day go to plan "B"

2) DC's are easy to split. JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE SOME SPLITTING RODS!!!!! !!!!! If you don't you will break the clutch cover plate. Pull it apart and see what is worng.

Try to make the clutch slip. When the DC started, did you have it in 4th gear and hold it back using the brakes?

I was in second or third (it wont pull the 4010 in 4th.)I have since went up and down the drive in third wide open holding the brakes.I will try 4th gear like you say. Thanks Nick
