Does anyone know the general
age of a 680ck series c bachoe? I just purchased one and I couldn't find a date of when the unit was built. Also, I'm looking for tips on common problems that they had. The backhoe runs great, but the oil pressure seems low (15psi at idle, 20 - 30 during operation, is this normal? I also wondered what the market value of a 680 ck is. All the hoses, cylinders and bushings are good, but the hour meter is broken. The engine starts easily and doesn't smoke.

Geo,

Thanks for the input. I'm going to replace the oil pressure guage and tubing this weekend to see if there is a change in the pressure. I paid 8K so I think I'm into it for the right price. I was also told by a friend that the oil pressure for some diesels is typically this low.

I know it's different but my Case 1969 580CK diesel is over 60psi oil pressure so 15 seems very low to me. I installed an auto parts mechanical gauge. I think it was about $20.
