Does anybody know the purpose of the 2 foot long lever that is just ahead of your left knee while sitting . It puts the tractor out of gear when pulled toward you . Why use this when the clutch does the same thing?

When you are using the P T O blowing snow or what ever pulling the leaver toward you will stop the tractor from moving BUT will allow the P T O to keep turning removing any build up of snow from the blower etc.

I"d suggest that it"s just a hand clutch.
