I am looking at buying a used tractor from a man who says it is a 1940's CASE. However he has no idea as to what model or the horsepower which is important to me. Where do I find the serial number so I know what I am dealing on?

As an aside, he used to run a fencing operation and loaned this tractor out with a fence pounder attached. He said it would come back with dead batteries and flat tires, etc. The question I have is are these CASE tractors tough? If you use (or abuse) them can they stand-up to this type of abuse? Thank you.

Brad, Do you know where I can find the serial number on the tractor? I don't know where to look on it's body. Thanks.
