I have a Case RC given to me by my daughter-in-law. Her Grandfather bought it new and her Dad had it in his collection of tractors until he died. It has "chicken roost" steering so I believe it is a 1937 or 1938 it is also unstyled. I believe the serial number is usually located on the tool box mounted at the rear of the gas tank. However this one is missing the tool box. I have the serial number of the engine it is 43421s or 8 I'm not sure. Is there any way to tell what year this tractor was manufactured with the engine numbers?

We own RC serial # 401057, a 1937 model. The engine # is 411041, the 3 digit # following the engine # is 377. I read somewhere that this is the date of manufacture of the engine, year/month, ie July, 1937

No I got this number off the number plate on the side of the engine behind the magneto on the left side of the engine. I'll look on the bell housing. Thanks
