I want to convert to an alternator from a genorator and also need to test a few old alternators I have. Question is how do I hook up the wiring on the alternator both for testing and on the tractor. I will be using GM model alternator with built in regulator. There are four connections, Ground, Positive and the two field wires. Its the field wires I do not know what to do with. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Tim

Check the archives postings of BOB M on the Farmall discussion board. Has diagrams.
