The 1175 has several differences than the other 70 srs, larger engine cid than 1070 (1170 & 1270 used same engine) no option for a power shift, easier access to airfilter, on some models (ser # differences) they had external disc brakes of which pads were expensive, smaller bull gears due to the outboard planetary (1170 and 1175 exclusive), rear wheel spacing was limited due to the lack of a regular axle on which to clamp wheel, the front end on a 1170 and some 1175 were much heavier. Parts are still available for most repairs and there are getting to be more in the salvage yards so used parts are still an option. As for the $8000.00 that depends on shape and hours. For a real cherry it might be OK but it would be high for a normal machine. If you are looking for a loader tractor this is not a good choice as the foot clutch will kill your leg after a while. They will pull 122 to 131 normally on the dyno and seem to be pretty fuel efficiant.
