Recently purchased a Case 442 (serial #9633527). The engine is a 12hp Kohler (model #K301A, spec #47349B). Looking for any information that will help in the restoration of it. It came with mowing deck and snowblower and is in good condition. Needs a clutch that powers attachments. I have heard that there is an electric clutch that is now being offered in place of the old mechanical style. I have a local small engine wholesaler that I can purchase Kohler parts. If anyone knows how I can aquire a service/repair manual and a contact for purchasing a replacement clutch and misc parts it would be greatly appreciated.

You might try your search on the garden tractor forum. Maybe more success there. else go to Ingersoll's web site and search for the nearest dealer. Not sure if they sell repair manuals or not. I always kept the manual and passed it on to the next owner. Don't like that when people throw things away.

The parts are available through Ingersoll and the clutch can be done by yourself with a copy of the owners manual and some patience. I did it on my Ingersoll 448 and they were pretty much the same till they switched to the electric clutch in about 1990.

Good luck on finding the parts and straightening the steering rod. My old dealer helped me straighten the front axle on my 448 after I bent it hauling wood from the neighbors woods. Miss those high wheels.

Thanks.
