Looking for help on this problem. I've got a 1948 Case SC that doesn't like to start after its warm. I can start it, run it a short time, shut it off, then start again without a problem. But if I run in from the field (a longer run) and shut it off, it doesn't like to start again. Instead it blows gas out of the weep hole at the bottom of the carb bowl. If I let it sit overnight, it will usually start again easily the next morning. Any thoughts?

I don't know if you need this info but the tractor has been converted from 6 volt to 12 volt and still has the orig magneto.

My guess is the coil in the mag. Had the same prob with a farmall H and cub. For some reason when the coil gets hot, it just doesnt have the spark to start a warm engine

sounds like a weak mag or its spinning so fast with the 12 volts that the impulse coupling is disengaged and can't make enough spark. try just bumping it 1 cylinder at a time, just like you were cranking it.

Would this have any relation to the engine being warm or is this just a coincidence?
