1948 VAI / Profit Loader questions

I just acquired a 1948 Case VAI with a profit Loader mounted to it in running, but rough, condition. I have a few questions that I would very appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction to get answered:

- What is the rated horsepower?
- Where is the best location to acquire a hood, grille, other sheet metal, and correct radiator (This one has an automotive radiator on it).
- The profit Loader is quite modified via an oxy acetylene torch. Does anyone know where I could get additional info about what it should look like, or where I can get a manual?
- The starter needs a new Bendix. Is there an automotive equivalent I can go buy, or do I need a Case part?
- Has anyone had any experience converting the electrical system to 12 volt? Any pitfalls I should avoid?
- Where is the best place to get a manual?
- Does anyone know how you get access to the braking system. It appears to have differential brakes (Two brake pedals on the right that can be locked together), but neither brake works. They appear to be in within the transmission case casting.
- Where is the best place to buy a carb rebuild kit? This one leaks gas out the opening, so it at least needs a new needle and seat.
