On the hood of my dc there is a hole to the rear of the hood right behind the gas tank hole. It is the same size as the gas tank hole. What would this be? I beleive it to be the original hood for this tractor. It is a neatly cut hole and appears to be there as long as the other openings. Any thoughts?

I can't help you- but I'm curious as well.

The Franklin Mint Precision Model of the SC tractor has two holes on the hood as well. One located foward (like where the early center exhaust might have come through) and one at the rear where the normal gas cap is.

The only thing I can figure is that it might somehow be related to a dual fuel option tractor.

Good luck, Mike
