Have a problem with very slow operation of backhoe up and down, side to side but not so much with bucket (seems normal) or extend. When first starting off seems powerful but as the job progresses real slow and loss of power. Someone had mentioned return line to bucket controls and something about an o-ring with a throw out which may be missing? Bucket seems to work fine.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like the circuit reliefs. It requires a hand pump to pump up the lines and read the max pressure obtained while pumping. Most circuits are set at 2500 psi with te Boom down pressure set at around 650 psi. You don't want to just start turning these screws without the proper equipment to check them or damage to the cylinders, rods, hoses, pump, control valves, or your life will result. Problem is that some shops say they can do it but they don't do it properly either. Don't mean to scare you but at the same time I think you should be aware of the extreme hazards involved. Good luck.

Wouldn't hurt to change hyd. filters but to be honest it sounds like pump problems to me = as the oil warms up and thins out the pump pressure and volume goes down Also check pressure release valve= if its stuck partially open it would cause the same symptoms
