Have an opportunity t get a 1030 for next to nothing. It has been parked in a building for years. It needs some tlc (seat, paint etc...) Here is the one that concerns me - the owner (who I know) says the back wheels are locked and he says it is the brakes. Does that sound right or is it most likely a more serious problem. He says this lockup has occured from all th years of sitting. Is this a good tractr or should I steer clear? Thanks

if tractor sat many years, condensation will cause brakes to lock. Remove covers and, disassemble brake jack rear end w/12ton bottle jack and chances are wheels will be free.
