The engine ran great until the fuel cutoff was left in the off position for a couple of weeks. Now I cannot get it to prime for anything. Plenty of fuel into the pump and the chamber on the top is full , but no pressure whatsoever from the injector ports on the pump. Is there something special about priming this pump or is there something wrong? One time before where the cutoff was left off I had a very hard time starting? Anyone got any suggestions? Its a roosa master rotary pump with four ports.

Thanks, Joe Schultz

I have exactly the same problem with exactly the same tractor. If you found a solution, short of replacing the injector pump, please let me know

i have good luck priming my pump by just loosining the return line. if that doesn't work, the fuel shutoff may be stuck inside the pump even with the cable pushed in. try moving the cable in and out rapidly while a friend taps the pump with a small ball pean hammer.

Open the fuel lines slightly at each injector. If it does not prime thanyour pump has failed. Also check the screen where the fuel line enters the pump.
