I will be pulling in weight transfer pulls this summer with my 930 in the 10,700 and 12,000# classes. Can someone tell me the MPH of the lower gears or better yet does someone pull one and what gears do you use? Thanks, Dan

Dan,

Don't mean to "rain on your parade", but the power cell motors in the Case 30 series do NOT have the power potential of the 70 series. I have a 1030 with a turbo. Max power with the pump turned up is about 145 horsepower. The direct injection 70 series (970) with a turbo can easily exceed 300 horsepower. If you will be in pulls with serious speed limits, you may place. The speed in 4th gear is slightly over 5 MPH. Consider pulling in 2nd or 3rd depending on the hardness of the track.

Don't know if you can get it up to fourth in the 10,000 class, would be nice if you could. Third in the 12,000 class. We use to load my brother-in-law's 930 up to 15,000 and pull it in second gear. He had 38 inch rubber on that on. A friend had a turbo on his and he pulled in fourth. I know there are guys pulling 930's maybe they'll jump in with some hints for you. Good luck.

Do you have a turbo on it and what size tires are on the rear?
