I have a 2-port Case combine steering valve that I would like to use in another application. I have use 4 -port valve from IH combines but I have no idea how the 2-port verision can work.
Does anyone have a hydraulic diagram showing how the 2-port steering valve is plumbed?

(The steering valve I am talking about is attached directly to the steering wheel)

Thanks

This does work well. You need the valve that your steering motor hooks to. Then you plumb it up to a pump, and the steering cyl. I did this on a 930 row crop with steering that was SHOT. I mounted the steering wheel motor on the left side of the block, and hooked up the original steering shaft. I mounted the original combine pump below the radiator and drive it off the front of the crankshaft. I mounted the hyd. reservoir, and the 6 port valve I told you about ahead of the radiator. It all fit behind the grill and looks original. It now steers with one finger. Best thing I ever did to the old 930. I have also put them on several other tractors, and shop built machines. If you have questions or have trouble email me and I'll try to help. Good luck DCase
