I recently acquired the above tractor. It is a 1959 model and has a gas engine. I would like to change all of the oil lubricants. Can anyone tell me what type of oils and quantatities are required. Is the transmission seperate from the rear end differential? Also, it appears that oil is leaking into the brake housings and as a result the brakes are virtually non-exisitent. Where is a good source for the seals that would prevent this? Case IH dealer? or somewhere else? I have ordered manuals but don't want to wait because I plan on using it right away. Any info appreciated.

Does it have a hydraulic pump that is mounted just in front of the transmission? I have a 311 with a triple range transmission. The hydrualic pump uses 30 weight motor oil that feeds out of the triple range transmission.

Steve, I sell those side gear seals, and the big Orings, if you need them. Your tractor is very similar to the 300B farm tractor, maybe someone else with exact info will ring in.
But if not, here's what I am recalling;
The transaxle is definitely separate from the forward/reverse shuttle. The rear will probably take about 4 or 5 gallons of 90W or 85-140, I think the fwd/rev will probably take 4 gallons or so of Case TCH or equivalent. Hope this helps, Dale
