Why does my 1950 Dc leak gas when I start it and sometimes it leaks when it is not being used?

Thanks

Joseph. The carb has a vent hole on the btm to let excess fuel out when you choke to start. If it runs out sitting still engine off,You either have some dirt or rust getting into the needle and seat or maybe the float could be hanging up.Have you cleaned the carb and put a kit in it??Is there dirt in the sediment bowl?Earl in Illinois

When you clean a carb you will need a carb repair kit. If you dont replace needle and seat you will need the gaskets.
