I picked up my 430LCK last night and I have a few questions. The hood decals read 430LCK but the ID tag on the dash indicates model 445. What have I got? The serial number is 8291252. What year was this tractor built? The tractor has loaded 18.4-16 low profile turf tires. After further inspection I find they are in poor condition with cracks and cuts. Not trade material in my book. Can I put regular size ag tires on this tractor or are there gear ratio and ground speed issues to consider in that its came as an LCK model? If no, what size ag tires and front tires would normally sit under a 430. Anyone have a source for new rims, tires and maybe fenders? What does the D in the triple range mean? Is the hand clutch supposed to be down low or can it be rotated upwards for better reach? What summer time motor oil and hydraulic oil should I use?

Sounds like you are in bad need of a complete repair manual and parts Manual. Check with the dealer; I just bought manuals from the MF dealer for an old tractor.

I have the exact same situation. The hood decal says " Case 430 LCK but the metal tag on dashboard says 445, then the serial number below it.

Your email was 2 years ago, but please reply anyway; I am trying to get info.

Thanks,
Buck

Hi, I can't answer all your questions but D is for Direct Drive or ratio of 1:1...445 is the model number since its on the dash tag but the only thing I know is it has a 148 cid. gas engine. Second #4 in model number is gas engine. The L in LCK could be "low speed 4th gear in 4-speed" (thats a guess}. You own a 30 Series Tractor what is often called a 430 Series Tractor. Hope that helps, Dennis.....
