I hope somebody can help! My 1070 will click when I try to start it. I have all gears in N, it will click on each turn of the key. After maybe 10-15 trys it will make contact. Is this the solenoid or starter, or is it a bad connection in the N sensor. I thought I would buy a new solenoid, and if that didn't fix it, have the starter checked. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It's the solenoid, you can remove it from starter & take it apart & fix it real easy. The copper bolt that comes out of solenoid gets burnt & dopesn't make contact with the disc. Just turn copper bolt 180 degrees & will be like new. Saves $25 or $30. Them old cases are tough machines.

If you short (jump) from the battery wire to the small terminal on the solenoid; and it starts then look at the switch circuit. My 830 had corroded connector.
