THE OVER CENTER CLUTCH WORKED FINE PRIOR TO PULLING THE TRACTOR ABOUT 10 MILES, TO ITS DESTINY FOR RESTORATION. NOW SOMETHING PREVENTS THE CLUTCH FROM ENGAGING. ANY IDEAS TO WHAT HAPPENED OR WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM

If you pulled it with the transmission in gear and the clutch disengaged, you may have done some damage to the clutch. Not trying to make a pointed remark to you, just trying to offer suggestions and don't have a lot of information. If that is not the case, I have found that many times when I change oil and get one running for the first time in many years, I have to adjust the clutch to get it to work. I am sure it is a matter of disturbing the accumulation of rust and crud that accumulated. I am not too familiar with the 300, the older tractors have a drain plug on the clutch housing, I always get some water out of there.

If you mean it is too tight and will not engage then a disc or part of a disc has come apart or broken and got on top of one another. Or maybe you woke up a chicken snake and he got in the linkage.
