Every day I pass an old Case tractor for sale. It must be a 1941-1954 SC based on the pictures on this site. It is propane powered and appears to be factory. Is this rare? How desirable would it be from a point of restoration and shows? It looks original and complete. I do not know the asking price. My interest is in Olivers but after a year of this sitting for sale, it is starting to call out to me.

OK. I got up close to this tractor. It's a DC. I still haven't heard the asking price yet. SN is 607799 DC.

They did make them, and very very few of them. Factory DC lp gas came out at the end of 1951. the SC would likely be the same. Don L.

If its closer to me than Les, ya can drop it off @ my BIL's farm. (I might even come & haul it for ya, if its close enough.) We'd love to have an LP SC to go along w/our other 5. If serial # (on dash plate, or on left side of block where it attaches to trans housing) begins w/80, its a '53 or '54. If it begins w/any other number, subtract 4 from the first two to get the year. (i.e. 48XXXX = a '44 model) Good luck w/it-they are tough old tractors. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Just buy it and bring it up to my place and leave it for several years while I check it out to see if it's worth what you paid for it ";^)
