I am just beginning to restore an old 1948 Case SC tractor that my grandfather bought new. I am wondering if Case ever made a front-end loader, backhoe, or mower attachment that would work with these tractors? Also, I have a question about the hitch...I thought that all old Case tractors of this era were equipped with a simple drawbar hitch, but my girlfriend's father, who is a mechanic, said that my tractor has a 3-point hitch. Is this possible? What does a three-point hitch look like? Thanks a lot for any help.

Thanks for the response, Joel. I hope that my tractor pleases me as much as yours pleases you. Too bad about the hitch problem...I really wanted to use it to mow part of my field. Oh well.

I have a '49 SC. It has the simple mechanical lift, with the two fixed-width arms (I think this is the precursor to the eagle hitch). We made a three-point hitch using the existing bolts on the tractor, along with a whole lot of extra metal. It works pretty good, and we have used it with several implements. Let me know if you would like more info...
