Hi, Can some one tell me if the hydraulics use a seperate oil supply, or does it use the trans/oil? Thanks, Jim

You are right if it was a eight speed 930. you are wrong if it is a six speed. I don't believe they come with a eight speed until 1964 or 5 I still don't think 1962 had a comfort king.

Are you sure your talking about a 1962 930? I thought they came with a Comfort King in 63.It sounds like your talking about a Comfort King. Either way the Hyda is built in the rear cover of the Tran end plate. Tran and hyda oil -SEPERATE. Hyda--use case Hi-teck or type A auto trans oil. I have a 1966 CK that came with tch in trans and I changed to 80-90 hypoid. Had 2000 hrs when I changed No trouble in the next 6000 hrs. still runs great and have never touched the rear end.

According to the serial number it's 62, or I misread it. Either way it is an early Comfort King. I appreciate the information. Thanks, Jim

You are wrong. Seperate oil supplies. No filter tran. some used 80-90 in tran-diff. some used tch or now latest case hyda oil and hyda had its own edgewound filter and used tch and now latest case hyda oil.

Well, I just pulled one of the ends off so I can put on some Pioneers and what looks like ATF ran out of the hose, so this must have a seperate oil supply. Is it the cast tank under the LH floor board? Jim
