Hello, I have a 830 gas engine that needs a rebuild. Gas kits are hard to get and are very costly. In this forum someone mentioned that you could use a diesel piston and sleeve kit. Did I misread the information, or is this true and how does it work in a gas engine. This is a comfort king, standard, tractor.
thankyou
mike

TTP in Warsaw, Indiana has rebuild kits. 800-825-7711. very good quality, I started using them about 11 years ago. They are about half the price as case.

Mike, who says gas kits are hard to get? I admit, nobody but Case sells kits for spark ignition engines, everyone & their brother has kits for diesels. You're right on them being costly, but we got the sleeves & pistons right from Case 2-3 years ago for Dad's 830 propane. The LP & gas ones should be the same kit since they are the same bore, the difference in compression ratio's is all in the heads on the gas & LP. diesels have the bigger bore, besides the sleeves are different diameter on the outside also. so I'm sure diesel parts won't work in the gas block..... .Roger
