Working on a CASE 1030 c/k, with 2 remotes and draft-o-matic. The 3 pt will not work at all, the remotes are weak. I attached a flow meter and press. gauge to the remotes, got 12gpm @1500 rpm & 0 press. I can get it to about 800 psi before the flow meter drops to 0. I'm pretty sure the pump is bad, but I wanted to look at the relief valve and can't find it! My manual (I&T) shows it, but I can't find it. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

The releif valve is in the remote control valve - under the bottom. You will have to remove the remote valve to get to it, and or remove it.
Your problem will more than likley be the small O-ring under the releif poppet. When this o-ring fails you will only get aroung 800psi at the remotes and flow will drop to nothing

Gary, more than likely your problem is the relief
valve that is located under the floor board under the seat, not hard to get at just pull the seat
and floor up and you will see it. There are four
bolts on the top of the relief valve. Pull those
four bolts and you will see a plunger. pull the plunger out clean it up with emery cloth as well
as the cylinder the plunger fits in. This is a common occurance with 930's and 1030's. The clear-
ance is so close with the plunger that just a spec
of carbon or any foriegn material will hold up
the plunger and the three point and the remotes will not function right. I've had to do this many
times with my 930 and 1030. Shine them up, bet it
will cure your problem. Let me know how you come
out.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. I pulled the pump out to check it, the housing has a large crack in it. Should have the new one today. I have discovered that when dealing with Case or IH, the pump is usually the problem no matter what test results you get.(IH 66 & 86 series & Case 70 series) I have spent a lot of time & money checking relief valves, flow controls and auxilliary valves on these tractors and ended up replacing the pump on every one!
