Where can you get gauges for the 830? Need Temp gauge but Case doesn't sell them anymore.

John,

Call Gary at Carters at 1.866.FARMALL. He can get you a gauge. Secondly, if for some reason he cannot, call Wengers 800.451.5240 and speak to Jason. He probably has used ones that work fine if you wish a perfect match of the gauges. This method has worked well for me. Check your sending unit.

Im not sure which part is bad I just used it for the first time to mow with, since we got it from an auction and the gauge didn't work. It is a 830 gas tractor. I made sure the radiator was full, and mowed with it a little and the next day noticed some fluid, oil or antifreeze, had run down the block from where the head and block meet. So I thought it had been overheated sometime, don't know if I did it or not. I guess thats why you need a temp gauge. Going to take the heads off and have them checked and redone. I don't believe there is any fluid in the oil though. Do you check the sender with an ohms meter? What does the sender do when heated up? Can you fix this or do I need to buy a new gauge.

I think if you connect the wire from the
sender to ground, your gauge should
go all the way to hot. If it does, then
your gauge should be working and the sender
needs replaced.

Early temp gauges are in a cluster of gauges. Later temp gauges are by them selves.
Which would you need?
