I am having a problem with the hydraulic fluid, it is being pumped from the rear gear case to the front case. I am pretty sure that this happens when operating the three point hitch. It has started transferring the fluid pretty fast now. I would really appreciate it if someone could steer me in the right direction.
Thank you
Don

Sounds like the seals between the two halves and a leaking 3 pt cylinder.
I would go and replace the seals in the 3pt lift, easier to do yourself. Then if still having a problem split it. Bet it's $500 to have it done.
My 311b is leaking the other way, torque tube to rear end.
I am doing the job myself as it is down for a complete restoration, I also am going to do the 3pt lift seals to be proactive. But I am having a time getting the two halves apart, good luck.

HI DON YOUR ARE RIGHT ALL 430-530 HAD THE SAME PROBLEM OIL IS TRANSFERRING FROM THE BACK TO THE FRONT AMDC IN 100% OF CASES YOU HAVE TO SPLIT THED TRACTOR AND CHANGE THE SEALS OR SESAL BECAUSE IF 8 SPEDD 2 SEAL BACK TO BACK OR 12 SPEED ONE SEAL. QUITE A JOB AND YOU CAN EXPECT TO REPEAT THE EXPERIENCE IN THE FUTURE THAT WAS ONE OF THE VERY FEW MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THESE TRACTOR. I SOLD OVER A 100 ANDC THROUGH THE YEARS WE HAD TO DO THEM ALL .

Thank you Jean Claud for your response, I was afraid that is what I would find, Can you give me an estimate on what it will cost to have this done?
Thanks again, Don

Hi, Isn't the lift cylinder mounted on top of final drive case and the cylinder could leak fluid into the final drive and 4 speed case? Dennis.....

there is a seal that the pto shaft rides on that is supposed to keep oil from transfering. if thats bad then it will transfer when you drive it. our 400 one is going bad and its putting hyd. fluid in the the rearend.

Thank you for your Commit. Do you know what is involved to correct that? I would think it would require separating the two units. Have you ever priced this job?
Thanks again, Don
