This spring I purchased a 784 with 2500 hrs. Looked clean, well taken care of. ran good.
After cutting my first field of hay this summer I had noticed a couple times when I shifted from reverse to low I'd leave the clutch out and there would be nothing. I'd pull it back to neutral then back to low leave out and it would go. I questioned the guy I bought it from he said I could be bumping the hi low torque. I thought maybe so. Anyways I changed the hydraulic fluid and filter. Later in the summer I was cutting a field that had a slight grade to it. After my 3rd or 4th pass as I started down this slight grade I felt the tractor just starting to take off(like I'm holding the cluth slightly in. I quickly turned to put me side ways, but still facing downhill. I let the clutch out and had nothing. I had to put it in reverse to get me back up the hill onto level. once level it would move in forward. I checked the hydraulic fluid level, thinking it wasn't picking up fluid when on the hill. added maybe a quart and tried again..Same thing this time i noticed the first time i hit my right brake it went to the floor but second time i had brake. I was in low gear 3rd range. on high torque.. Another thing I put it in low torque while moving on a slight downgrade and it was like I was in neutral. Any suggestions this is pretty dangerous.

Your tractor is a International. Maybe to get the answer you desire, post it on the IH board on this website..... Sounds like it has a weak torque???
