On a 530 CK loader there are two cylinders for tilt, two to raise and lower the loader and one on the right hand side nearer the operator to do what? Looks odd to me because it is plumbed into the tilt lines. Can anyone help this beginner out?

That is the hydroleveling cyl. This cyl displaces oil to keep the bucket level while raising or lowering the loader, Case used this instead of a bunch of mechanical levers to keep the bucket level and not spill dirt over the back of bucket when the loader is raised up all the way.

Is there a flow control on this leveling cylinder or a bypass? My problem is when tilting the bucket backward it puts pressure on the loader pivot. Cracked the loader and had to have it repaired. Don't want this to happen again so am trying to figure out what to do about it. Thanks

Hi, I looked through the hydraulic schmatics and that pressure is normal. I've seen many broken & welded same place as yours. I dont see any relief valves or such. Its a positive oil displacement, move or break. Any pressures on the dump cylinders are on the leveling cylinder. If I'm reading it correctly, the leveling cylinder could be removed and the hoses capped and not have the leveling option. If bucket pivot points etc are binding, that would increase the pressures too. I'm no expert, just the way it appears to me...Dennis.....

You probably need a new boss bushing. The one that is welded to the frame post. A new one cost about $130-140 plus installation. I have heard that some people build up the inside of the bushing with weld to take up some of the slack.
I have also heard of removing the old one by using a bi-metal hole saw to cut the weld. I think I would try to grind as much weld off as possible first to save wear on the hole saw. Mine needs to be replaced too.
